I’ve been going to this museum since I was a young child and in the late 1980’s I was lucky to be one of the first to see Lindow man there with my primary school. In the 1990’s me and my best friend Philip went to the museum at least twice a month and we never got bored of it. As an adult I regularly take my children to the museum and they love it too. I have mixed feelings about thework that’s to commence on the Egypt and Med gallery’s. I admit they are looking dated and have not changed since I was a kid but I love the style, the atmosphere, the lighting and even the old blackout curtains!!! ( I still wish the old entrance on Oxford road was still used)but I concede you have to move withthe times, but I love the old style of the building/galleries and I belive new buildings and museums have no style about them. I hope the charm isn’t lost in the modernising of the galleries
